Why
be a Project Amazonas Sponsor?
You
can conserve the Amazon rainforest, its animals, plants, and
people, by helping us work with local communities to promote
sustainable use of the rainforest, and by helping us expand
our biological field stations and forest reserves.
You can support research, and provide scholarships for Peruvian,
American, and other students. Support of student research
makes a real impact for years to come.
You can provide vital resources
to Amazon schools and health clinics. Today's children will
decide the future of the Amazon, and it is important that
they have the education, health, and the opportunities to
make wise decisions.
You can support medical service expeditions to remote areas,
as well as provide materials and funding to equip Amazon hospitals
and clinics with the medicines and supplies that they desperately
need. In today's globally-connected world, disease knows no
borders - support of medical programs in the Amazon may help
to protect your own health in a very direct way!
We
have minimal overhead (and we're proud of it!), so 85%+ of
your contribution directly supports the program or project
you want to support! This is far more efficient than most
organizations.
Receive significant tax benefits! We are an IRS-registered
501(3)c not-for-profit organization. Corporations and individuals
are entitled to claim their contributions as a charitable
donation for US tax purposes.
